Tri Sigma Spring Formal 2014!

Image

We had our Spring Formal this past week! The theme was “masquerade,” and we all had a great time decorating and crafting masks to match our dresses! Here’s a great shot of some of our sisters shaking their tail feathers on the dance floor. There’s nothing quite like dancing the night away with all your sisters!

Some of our senior ladies dressed to the nines at formal! We are going to miss them and their infectious energy so much!

Greek Week Skit Night!

This week we have been battling the other sorority at Stephens College, Kappa Delta. The theme is “90s.” Monday was a banner contest, Tuesday was skit night, Wednesday will be a volleyball tournament, and Thursday will be various relay races and trivia. Here is a shot of all of us after skit night! We had some technical difficulties with the sound system, and ended up singing acapella for the vast majority of the skit. But we fought through it, and the memories we made spending all night practicing and rocking the stage together were priceless!

Big/Little Review 2013!

For our Big/Little Review for Fall 2013, we sent our littles with maps off into a corn maze to find their bigs! The bigs anxiously awaited for their littles to come find them!

One of our sisters decorated a pumpkin for her little!

Welcome home!

This past week marked Formal Fall Recruitment here at Stephens. Our theme this year, under the direction of MRD Stephanie LaFontaine, was “Anchor to Tradition,” a sort of nautical theme!

Night One in our Revelry Dresses

Night Two-Skit Night

Night Three-Pref Night in our little black dresses

Even though it was a little bit (okay, really) stressful preparing and trying to the suite done in time, we pulled together as sisters and filled all of our empty spots in one recruitment! Saturday morning, we welcomed 14 new sisters and celebrated with Brittany Curran, an alumna. We can’t wait to pass on our legacy to these amazing new girls!

Greeting our new members in the quad for the first time 🙂

Our new members practicing their “sailboats” on Brittany’s dock

All of us together 🙂

Extreme Makeover: Tri Sigma Edition

As our current chapter and maybe current alumnae know, our Roblee suite has been looking a bit sad lately. A few of us were sprucing things up a bit before school started and before we knew what happened….well, this happened:

Our new color for the suite-Truly Plum

Layne Wallace, junior FMM major, painting the baseboard

But we definitely couldn’t just leave the walls as is. We figured we should go all out and redo the floor as well!

Our new hardwood laminate installed courtesy of Rodney and Stephens College Facilities!

A big thank you to Stephens College facilities for working so hard to get our flooring in before Recruitment next week!

More photos to come after we repaint the crest, hang the composites and redecorate. Thanks for reading.

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

Our chapter participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on Sunday, September 18th. It was an early morning for all of us but we all were ready to support this amazing organization. We raised $180 as a chapter for breast cancer research and Susan G. Komen. It was a 5K walk or run through downtown Columbia and back to Mizzou Stadium. Our members were able to walk around the Mizzou football field when ending the race. It was a refreshing and marvelous day for the Sigma’
